چکیده
We prove the existence of multiple positive solutions nonlinear second-order nonlocal boundary value problems with term having derivative dependence. allow nonlinearity to grow quadratically respect derivatives. obtain a priori bounds for norms derivatives by using recently obtained Gronwall-type inequality. Three examples illustrate some results. This article is part theme issue ‘Topological degree and fixed point theories in differential difference equations’.

Eigenfunction Expansions for Second-Order Boundary Value Problems with Separated Boundary Conditions
In this paper, we investigate some properties of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of boundary value problems with separated boundary conditions. Also, we obtain formal series solutions for some partial differential equations associated with the second order differential equation, and study necessary and sufficient conditions for the negative and positive eigenvalues of the boundary value problem....
متن کاملPositive Solutions for Second-order M-point Boundary-value Problems with Nonlinearity Depending on the First Derivative
We consider multiplicity of positive solutions for second-order mpoint boundary-value problems, with the first order derivative involved in the nonlinear term. Using a fixed point theorem, we show the existence of at least three positive solutions. By giving an example we illustrate the main result of the article.
متن کاملPositive solutions of second-order m-point boundary value problems with changing sign singular nonlinearity
In this work, some new existence results of positive solutions for a class of singular m-point boundary value problems with changing sign nonlinearity are obtained, which improve on many known results. c © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
متن کاملNonlinear second-order multivalued boundary value problems
In this paper we study nonlinear second-order differential inclusions involving the ordinary vector p-Laplacian, a multivalued maximal monotone operator and nonlinear multivalued boundary conditions. Our framework is general and unifying and incorporates gradient systems, evolutionary variational inequalities and the classical boundary value problems, namely the Dirichlet, the Neumann and the p...
متن کاملSecond order abstract initial - boundary value problems
Introduction Partial differential equations on bounded domains of R n have traditionally been equipped with homogeneous boundary conditions (usually Dirichlet, Neumann, or Robin). However, other kinds of boundary conditions can also be considered, and for a number of concrete application it seems that dynamic (i.e., time-dependent) boundary conditions are the right ones. Motivated by physical p...
